Michael Tallarico, MD

Medical Oncology / Hematology

Dr. Tallarico is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. His Hematology/Oncology fellowship was completed at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Dr. Tallarico has won numerous awards, including Resident of the Year and the American Society of Hematology Achievement Award and has previously been chosen to present his research at the national American Society of Hematology meeting. He has had multiple publications focusing on Lymphoma and Leukemia as well as care in geriatric patients.

Dr. Tallarico is honored to be able to take care of the patients of Northwest Indiana and has a dedication to patient-centered care. When not at work, he is interested in golf, weight-lifting, guitar playing and spending time with his family. Northwest Cancer Centers and Community Cancer Research Foundation offer the opportunity to participate in national clinical trials through Dr. Tallarico. He is accepting new appointments at our Dyer location.
